Mosaics are the art of gluing pieces of glass and stone (tesserae) to a substrate (MDF, in this case) to create a beautiful piece of art work. You may use as a trivet if you want, or hang on your wall. If you want to place it outside please only do so in warm weather, making sure to keep it out of the rain, and bringing it back in before it freezes. Water and freezing can make the tesserae pop off sometimes. It would be great on a covered porch! We’re pretty sure we’ve given you enough tesserae to cover your piece, but just give us a call if not and we’ll take care of it. Your kit includes everything you need, including instructions and grout to finish your project. If you decide you want to paint this instead of mosaicing it, call the studio for your paint choices. You do not need to bring this back to the studio. Enjoy this fun art!
